Stephen Young

I gave up my car in 1995 and haven't owned one since. I hire a car when I need one, which is a lot less often than I'd expected. My background is in economics, which I've used in analysing, advising, writing about and presenting on the energy and ICT sectors: my work has covered markets, regulation, strategy and public policy in energy and telecoms for the public and the corporate sector.

In the last couple of years I have been contracted as a consultant to the United Nations International Telecommunication Union, a specialized agency of the United Nations. Since 2007 I have worked as Senior Lecturer in Economics at Brighton University Business School, where I teach behavioural economics to undergraduates and postgraduates. I'm currently writing the book of this website, and lots more.

Vivienne Caisey

I can drive, but I prefer not to. I don't own a car. My background is in commercial marketing, where I was a board director of a major exhibitions company. I'm a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and since 2004 I have worked as a consultant and trainer, both with Brilliant Futures Ltd and as an independent, on social marketing interventions, training and consultancy projects. The work aims to promote positive behavioural change in a variety of areas, concentrating on health and the environment. I have delivered social marketing training to a wide range of public and third sector professionals in the UK.
